What they came to us with.

Good Vibes — a binaural beats and healing frequencies platform serving a global wellness audience — came to Octoways with a product that had real potential but a critical problem: the app was unstable. Crashes, audio dropouts, broken subscription flows, and security vulnerabilities were eroding user trust at exactly the moment the wellness audio market was taking off. With 5,000 downloads and only 200 paid subscribers, the product needed more than fixes. It needed a complete rebuild — from the database up — before the opportunity passed.

02 · The Build

What Octoways delivered.

Full Flutter Rebuild

Rebuilt the entire mobile app from scratch in Flutter — replacing an unstable codebase with a performant, cross-platform app for iOS and Android. New UI, new architecture, new everything. The app that shipped was unrecognisable from what came in.

Audio Streaming & Background Play

Resolved persistent audio streaming failures and implemented reliable background playback — the core feature of the product. Users could now mix binaural beats, healing frequencies, and Himalayan soundscapes continuously, even with the screen off or app in background.

Subscription & Payment Overhaul

Fixed broken in-app purchase flows and auto-renewal subscription logic across both iOS App Store and Google Play billing. A reliable payment system was the direct unlock for subscriber growth — from 200 paid users to 30,000+ over the engagement.

Backend Migration & Security

Migrated the database, optimised the backend infrastructure, and patched critical security vulnerabilities. Also rebuilt the web app — giving subscribers a full-featured browser experience alongside the mobile app, with a consistent UI and shared account system.
